Dangerous Drivers

On numerous drives on the NJ turnpike and Rt 3 into Manhattan I've witnessed the way these bus drivers continually cut off drivers in adjacent lanes, cruise in the left most fast lane, travel at excessive high speed, and make numerous illegal turns. Coach USA should be banned from the transport business. Why is no one investigating this company? Rarely on time, with a couple of exceptions rude rude drivers, no consistent cell phone policy leading to many arguments. No announcements when bus is late re: why and when it is expected to arrive. If they have one or a few customers than seats you plumb outta luck. Get there early and expect not leaving on time. I've been riding this line for 18 years and overall it sucks

I have had issues with the Coach USA bus 11A for years. Buses are late on a daily basis, drivers are rude and other times buses will not show. I've called their headquarters in Westwood, NJ and complained but usually get hung up on. I can't comprehend how they are still in service. For example: the 11:15am 11A bus to NJ hasn't been on time for the last year. Doesn't come before 11:45am. Absolutely unacceptable.

The are still in business because the have no competition in some areas so the can do or not what they want and charge what they want.

Worst driver at morristown

They were 3 people standing at morristown new jersy drived forced us to get down the bus evn though bus is heading to newyork driver cheated 3 passengers by saying he is not going to new york Stupid driver please fire him from job

Consistently poor

I've unfortunately have had to use them regularly the last 18 years because they have no competition on the route I travel. Buses rarely leave on time, at best an "I don't care consistent attitude from employees. Drivers who talk on the phone and text while the bus swerved in/out of lane. Often smelly buses. No announcements made when there is a delay; they keep you standing/waiting with no communication or apology. Most drivers do not make any welcome aboard/ information. No consistent cell phone policy leads to many passenger arguments and uncomfortable ride. I could go on and on........avoid using them if you can

This Bus Co. Sucks

Once again sitting waiting for the bus to arrive and deposit my loved one - always late. 1/2 hour late so far. At least they are consistent - you can always count on one or more unpleasantries every time

No refund

A total waste of money. Services paid for but not received. I made reservations for shuttle transfers before we left on our trip. Our travel plans were changed while on vacation and we could not use the tickets. I tried to cancel a week ahead of the reservation but Coach USA refused to refund the price of the tickets. I tried to reason with the company by email but they refused to refund the price of the tickets. I was willing to pay a cancellation fee but I am upset that they refuse to reimburse any portion of the tickets. I will never use this company's service in the future.

My first experience is the worse experience. Bus #17054 from New Brunswick NJ to NY Port Authority. Driver very arrogant didnt want to assist a pregnant womam with luggage let alone talkmg very disrespectful as if i owe him something. Customer Service was 100% disrespectful. Not happy contacted my Lawyer to file a claim

I take bus 20. During rush hour, it often skips a bus in between. After the rush hour, it runs every hour which is often late for 30 minutes. I don't even have a choice of other buses. Bus drivers are brute nasty with an exception of one or two. Heaters on a hot summer day and freezing level of AC when it is 40 degrees outside. My only other option is to move where NJ Transit is.

So...Let's talk about my journey yesterday on the Newark Airport "Express" Bus operated by Coach USA for transport between Newark Airport and Manhattan. Thank goodness I was in a good mood after a very pleasant trip to Ohio...or my adventures on this modern version of a cattle car from *** just might have ruined my holiday season. As it was, I can't recall ever before being quite so badly treated without losing my sense of humor. As you can see from the company flyer in the photo, "NewarkAirportExpress" claims to offer buses every fifteen minutes from Newark Airport. But before you get on the bus, you must find it. Off on a lower parking garage deck, which is ominously dark and badly marked, the only indication of a loading area is a small numbered sign. With an assortment of other bus companies operating nearby, the lack of more detailed signage, route and price info, or any representative of the company...makes this outdoor location both dangerous and very confusing. There is no guidance whatsoever to help waiting passengers cue up or prepare in anyway to board. The advertised 15 minute wait turned into approximately an hour and a half. Then, when the bus finally arrived...a driver who spoke limited English began shouting at customers, many of whom spoke no English at all, that he was driving to Times Square "ONLY!!!" (Even though the bus company advertises several Manhattan drop off spots.) This caused great consternation for many folks who had already been waiting quite awhile in the cold. Confusion of people getting on and off and looking for a bus with their desired stops resulted in chaos and outbursts of anger. The driver recklessly tossed our bags in the area in the front seats usually reserved for handicapped riders. The result was a huge pile making easy exits nearly impossible should there have been an accident. Since there was no rep from Coach USA other than the poor over burdened driver...some people who had waited the full hour and a half got shoved out by folks who arrived at the last minute...causing more tempers to flare. Then once we were loaded in, we had to wait nearly another half hour for a ticket taker to arrive so that we could purchase our tickets. Some of us wanted to exit and make other travel arrangements...but our bags were already so buried in the fire hazard in the front seats, that at this point...we were, for all intents and purposes, captives of Coach USA. All during this time, the motor was idling and fumes were building up in the bus. The late arriving ticket taker was visibly annoyed with passengers who couldn't make exact change, and not at all apologetic about the poor service. He took nearly another half hour to collect fares. Only after paying a full fare, and after the ticket fellow had left...did I notice on the flyer that he should have offered me an "over 62" half price discount. The driver drove recklessly, often jerking the bus to violent stops. When we finally got dumped on a very dark and chaotic 41st Street near 8th Avenue, we were finally greeted by a company rep...Only to have her yell at us to "GET OFF QUICK!!!" because she had a huge line of poor souls waiting for the return to Newark. Now, I am a seasoned NYC traveler. If I had been an unsuspecting and unknowledgeable tourist, the whole debacle would surely have left me quite dazed. This bus may be a bit cheaper than other "shared ride" options. But at 16 dollars, it's not that cheap...Better off to pay a few bucks more for a SuperShuttle van. Or splurge for a cab or Uber/Lyft...Because no amount economy is worth the sort of torture "NewarkAirportExpress" and Coach USA provided.

I contacted USA Coach to obtain a bus from DeBary to Jacksonville and back for the Notre Dame/Navy game. Game time was unknown. Trip was booked. When exact game was released I contacted USA Coach and they sent me a revised contract. I paid the bill and called USA Coach the day before event to get Orlando dispatch number and they gave it to me. Unknown to me USA Coach did not give them the updated contract. The third party bus company arrived three hours late based on USA Coach giving them the wrong time. USA Coach will not acknowledge their error. They were negligent after the fact afte making a mistake.

A coach USA bus almost killed my family and several in the cars around us today around 2pm eastbound on I-64 in Newport News Virginia. Driving way too fast for situation, driver aggressively merged at last second into near standstill traffic. I can not emphasize how close to a massive tragedy this could have been. There was absolutely no excuse for this as the driver had at least five miles and 45 miles to merge.

On Friday November 11, 2016 at 7:36 pm I boarded the line 31 Coach USA bus at Newark Penn station in Newark, NJ. As I was about to step onto the bus the bus driver closes the bus door a few centimeters away from my face (which could've resulted in a injury if I didn't move back). The bus driver, is now chastising me and waving her hands in the air to humiliate me as I'm standing outside of the door waiting to board the bus. The women then proceeds to say to me "knock, knock nobody home". All of this is occurring as I'm waiting at the bus stop waiting for her to let me on the bus, I stood there for about 3 minutes till she decided to open the door with angry passengers pleading her to move on and open the door. The bus driver finally open the door and proceeded to ask me why I'm getting on this bus and I should of waiting for the next bus. This is ridiculous for a bus driver to treat me this way as I was never confrontational with her. I explain to her that I paid money to get on this bus and for someone to treat me the way she did is unnecessary. This is not the first time I witness this bus driver get nasty with someone. I am furious at the fact that someone like this is still operating a bus, she put my life in danger and will continue to be an issue if nothing is done. I was out of the country and just returned to the USA Today and I wanted to ensure I submit my complaint about the driver. The women was African American, dark skin, with a curly black wig, heavy set, and a distinguishable loud voice. At the time of the incident the bus number inside read "6512". I would like this issue handle appropriately and would like to receive a follow-up in regards to the matter. I will continue to call and email until the issue is resolve.
